"Open House" during "Hari Raya"...

I wish a very very "Happy Hari Raya Aidifitri" to all who celebrates this special occasion.  I had a chance to participate in this "Hari Raya" event called an "Open House"...

This was organized by my Muslim friends who celebrate their new year after a full month's of fasting. The limited amount of food they consume during the fasting month made my muslim friends all look much more slim, slender & fit,  more handsome, cute, pretty & beautiful and of course not forgetting, more healthy & happy. This calls for a healthy dose of shopping for clothes. New up-to-date ones. Not forgetting the classical vintage ones. You may always return here to my blog to check it out here once I managed to set it up properly...
In the meantime, hope you all enjoy my written blogging.

This "Open House" during "Hari Raya" is when the organizers get to re-decorate the whole house, not forgetting to re-furbish the furnitures as well. Some of my friends told me that it is an annual event that has to follows when all relatives, friends and even "friends of friend invitees" gets to roam freely in the houses and then shows appreciation to the organizes in these "open house" events...

The second part which is the best part for me in this "Open House" during "Hari Raya" is the chance to meet so many people from everywhere, every corner of the world. This is often then followed with some exchange of experiences with some amazing tales to share. It takes sometimes a few hours. You will understand better once you have read till the end...

Not forgetting to tell you all about the food served during "Open House" event. If you had a chance to sample some dishes during the special fasting month of Ramadan, then this is a sum of it all and with lots lots more. Soooo many dishes, soooooo many cookies, soooooo many cakes, soooo many deserts,  soooo many fruits, even the very special dishes that make special appearances only during this Hari Raya celebration such as the Ketupat, Lemang, Rendang & Dodol. Slurps.

Do remember to enjoy the food offered moderately because the clothes you have just bought and worn for this special occasion may not fit you on your way out of the "Open House". That's why after a hearty meal, we normally take a few hours to digest better and use this opportunity to have a chat with the rest of the people there.
Then as a last resort if you have consumed too much of everything, there is always the opportunity to take a tour & wander in side the house to take a slow stroll to exercise a bit before you thank the host or the organizes for their gracious arrangements...

Till next time, take care and have a great holiday.
